Native-led.
Open to all.
Muhi Siasa Foundation is a Native American nonprofit based in Reno, Nevada, that brings people together through basketball. We host youth and adult tournaments rooted in Native values and open to every age, background and skill level.
Our mission
To build healthy, connected communities through basketball by hosting safe, welcoming tournaments where Native and non-Native players, families and fans come together.
Northern Paiute: to lead the people.
Northern Paiute: to grow high, like a tree.
Our story
Basketball has long been a gathering place in Native communities: reservation courts, school gyms and all-Native tournaments that bring families together from across the region.
Muhi Siasa Foundation was founded to carry that tradition forward. We run well-organized tournaments that honor where we come from, lift up the next generation, and welcome everyone who loves the game.
Every event is built by our community, for our community: families in the stands, and players of every age and background on the court.
Our values
What guides every tournament

For opponents, officials, elders and ourselves, on and off the court.
Give back
We keep fees low and share what we have so everyone can play.
Gather together
Tournaments are family reunions. Everyone has a place in the stands and on the court.
Stay strong
Active bodies, healthy minds and positive role models for the next generation.
